Though it's become trite to say "Wait for it," you'll want to.

Having grown up near a lighthouse on Simmons Island where the Pike River flows into Lake Michigan in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Doris always had a love of water: its sources, flows and forms. We soon became members of the Great Basin Water Network. Doris' favorite local excursions were to see how the Truckee River was doing at Oxbow Nature Study Area and the surface levels of Tahoe and Washoe lakes.

At the time I was notified that Mom/Doris' remains would be cremated, 5:30p, 9/30/23, I went to Oxbow Park and filmed her beloved river and the wind in the trees.

I would carry Mom/Doris to this bench for a picnic to watch the wild Truckee River.

When I offered her a new personal email address at my domain FLYFER.COM and asked what would she like, she instantly replied, "BLUE SKY!" You may send her a final email at bluesky@flyfer.com.

My beloved Mother, my hero, Doris Howard, RN, 1st Lt US Army WW2, passed away peacefully in my arms on September 15, 2023 at 10:20a.m., on the first day of the New Moon. She simply fell asleep and her heart stopped beating after 103½ remarkable years.
